I wanted to let you know how much I learned by your carry instructions class and I appreciate your passion for the safe handling of firearms. I know many friends that carry in different states that don't require this type of training, they think they know enough of the basics to carry a firearm safely........Big mistake!

After the completion of your training, I felt I could safely carry a firearm and have the knowledge needed not to harm myself or anyone else by mishandling a gun. 

Your training and instruction was great! 

An added plus, you helped me to understand the basics of hand positioning and had me shooting more accuratelty.....Thank you!

Hi Joe! Just wanted to thank you again for the awesome training session. Expected to work on improving my marksmanship as well as some basic holster drills. Walked away with an abundance of information and a new appreciation for the gunbelt, IWB holster vs my bellyband, and the experience of some very helpful drills incorporated into your lesson.

The way this economy is going best to be safe than sorry. There is no better way to be prepared than to get your permit to carry and training. Joe has worked with me and done a great job in this he is pointed out areas where I need to improve which I will but it's a great course and I definitely recommend

I recently completed two classes with Joe Lauricella at JAL Pistol Defense, and I can’t recommend him highly enough. The first was an NRA Pistol Safety class, which was both informative and practical—a perfect introduction to firearm ownership and safety. Joe was thorough and clear in his teaching, making sure I understood the fundamentals.

My second lesson was a private 1-on-1 marksmanship class, which was outstanding. Joe’s patience and dedication really showed as he walked me through key techniques like grip basics, sight alignment, and sight picture. I left feeling confident and ready to continue practicing at the range, armed with valuable tips and insights.

Thanks to Joe’s guidance, I feel much more comfortable with my firearm, and once I’ve honed my skills further, I’ll definitely be booking more advanced training with him. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable and supportive instructor, Joe is your guy.

I had a great session with Joe. He is a safety first, second and third guy (which I really appreciate). He assessed my skill levels and adapted the training to my needs. He also gave me drills to work on at home. I plan on doing more training with Joe in the future. 

Joe is a great trainer. I met him for a 3 hour course and it was 4 and a half hours. He is completely thorough with everything he does. I have trouble with my hands and Joe even researched a gun that would be good for me. He even went far and beyond and met me at the gun store. I will be taking my conceal and carry test through him. I cannot say enough about Joe he is a great person and a great trainer.
